On April 21, 2015, under the witness of Xi Jinping, chairman of China, and Nawaz Sharif, premier of Pakistan, Lahore rail transit Orange Line Project in Pakistan was signed successfully, with a total contract amount of 1,457.5 million dollars. This project is the first urban rail transit project in Pakistan and the first infrastructure project of China-Pakistan economic corridor under the framework of national strategy “The Belt and Road”. Located in Lahore City, Punjab Province, the project has a total length of 27 kilometers, including 26 stations; its underground section is 1.7 kilometers, including two underground stations.
