Myanmar monyova copper mine (L mine)

Myanmar monyova copper mine (L mine) is an extremely large porphyry copper mine with copper reserves of 5.4 million tons. In 2010, development agreement was signed under the witness of the premiers of China and Myanmar. The project was provided with open-cast mining, biological heap leaching, extraction and electro-deposition processes. With total investment of 1.09 billion dollars, its designed annual output of cathode copper was 100,000 tons. It’s constructed and put into production in March, 2016 and design capacity was reached in 2018.
